Incredible vintage tribal hat with a conical shape made from cowrie shells, plant fiber and elephant hair (tail).
Such hats played an important role in the Bwami Society of the Lega ethnic group in Congo. It has been perfectly outfitted with a custom metal hat stand for exquisite display in your home. Very rare!
Custom stand includedMeasures about 18 3/4" H (Hat is about 7" H x 6" W without stand). The stand base is 4 3/4" W x 4 3/4" D x 3/4" H.
